Zoho API - Commercial Terms

The Zoho API program is geared toward providing partners, non-profit organizations and end customers with a straightforward way of integrating various Zoho apps into your existing applications, services or working environment.

We provide a free version with some limitations that may be suitable for your requirements. This is also aimed at partners with lower volumes of users who wish to provide some good office productivity functionality without requiring advanced features like collaborative editing and document sharing.

The fee-based API's provide partners, non-profits and end customers with a commercial relationship with Zoho Corp and a more business focused approach to their API integration. Partners will have access to a customized API dashboard that includes information on their API account, usage as well as billing and payment details. The fee-based API's also provide secure document access, real-time collaboration & remote presentation features for their users.

Program FAQ's:

What is a User Document Session [UDS]?

-- A single document opened in Zoho service editor (eg Z Writer) and saved, equals "one document session, i.e., 1 UDS".

Sizing: How do I know how many User Document Sessions I need?

On an average, we find that a percentage of users (maybe 10-15%) will regularly use an integrated Zoho service and of that portion, the number of User Document sessions falls into the categories we have provided in the tables above. (500 "regular users per month for Level 1, 1000 regular users a month for level 2 and 2500 regular users per month for level 3). Partners should estimate or count the number of users they have for their existing or planned services and plan accordingly. Zoho will work with each partner to ensure that the appropriate plan is selected over time and ensure that the pricing plan stays within budget.

Additional Usage: How do I upgrade our partner account or apply for extra UDS?

Once a Partner exceeds their monthly plan level - they will be notified via e-mail by the Zoho API team. After two consecutive months of plan excess Partner will be asked to upgrade their account with additional usage levels based on need and can pay for additional UDS in 1000, 2500 or 5000 unit increments or upgrade to a higher level. Upgrades can be made online via the secure payment gateway.

Additional Usage: What if we exceed our plan and don't upgrade?

The program allows a two month "grace period" for exceeding the plan level. Once the subscribed plan level is exceeded and partner fails to upgrade plans or subscribe to additional UDS sessions within this grace period, the API service may be interrupted. Zoho API team will provide notification via e-mail and may attempt phone contact to ensure that partner has ample time to upgrade.

Technical Support Terms:

-- All partners and end customers receive technical support as needed via e-mail. They can send the mail to api-support@zohocorp.com,
-- Partners opting for fee-based plan have access to telephone support. (A toll free number will be provided once subscription is enabled)*
--
End customers have access to telephone support
-- SLA and commercial license agreement is included for all plans

* Telephone support is available 24 x 7 to report critical issues, bugs and minor issues. Based on severity of issue, the API team will respond accordingly.

Payments:

-- All payments are handled through the Zoho API Store via credit cards and our secure payment gateway. (Exceptions may be available on a case by case basis).

What features and functionality are available for each plan?

Partners opting for fee-based API's will get additional benefits of secure document access, real-time collaboration & remote presentation. These features are available under all plans - A, B & C.

* SSL - SSL (Secure Socket Layer) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between Zoho's web server and your browser. This link ensures that all your data passed between Zoho's web server and browsers remain private and integral.

* Document Collaboration – This feature allows users to share their documents with others and provides real time collaborative editing capabilities.

*
Remote Presentation – This feature allows the Zoho Show users to make their online presentations visible to participants in real time as well as
allowing desktop sharing.

Plan Usage Reporting:

The API program includes online access to a "usage meter" which helps partners and end users gauge their plan usage as well as provide a reporting and auditing mechanism.
