Remote API - Feature Development Roadmap
The remote editor that we provide as part of remote api for Zoho Services - Writer, Sheet & Show - is fairly a basic one. In other words, it is a scaled down version of our online editor without full editing and collaboration features. We plan to redress this imbalance by adding features to the remote editor over a period of time. For this reason our API development team for Zoho Writer, Sheet & Show have come up with a feature roadmap in which few of the features like collaborative editing in remote environment will be made available in next series of API updates. For a full list of features to be implemented for each Zoho Services as part of remote API updates are mentioned below :
Zoho Writer
- Collaborative editing in remote environment
- Spell-check support for documents
- Advanced Save As option - enable users to save document in their specified format
- Support for Header/Footer and Endnote/Footnote
- LaTeX Equation Editor option for students & scholars.
Zoho Sheet
- Collaborative editing in remote environment
- Performance & Scalablity - support for uploading fairly large sheets in remote editor
- Import MS Excel 2007 spreadsheets (xlsx) into remote editor
- Support for Image upload
Zoho Show
- Collaborative editing in remote environment
- Support for uploading individual slides
- Ability to make remote presentation
- Save/Upload presentations in Zoho Show format
- Support for copy & pasting slides
- Transitions & Animation support in slides.
